The installation consists of three large tuning forks placed in a public square. Each tuning fork contains a sensor and a series of individually addressable LED strips with corresponding lighting effects.
When a tuning fork is struck, the sensor is activated, causing the entire fork and its surroundings to light up. At the same time, a word from a set of predefined phrases—gathered from the town’s residents—is played through the audio system located in the fork’s technical well.
I was responsible for programming the software for the installation, developing and implementing the microcontroller for sensor input, integrating third-party hardware (e.g. network relays, network amplifiers), some LED mapping, and parts of the physical assembly of the installation.
